Speidel, Goodrich & Goggin (SGG), formed in Charlottesville, VA in 1983 and continues to play to sell-out crowds in concert halls like the Barns at Wolf Trap, the Birchmere of D.C., Nashville’s Blue Bird, Atlanta’s Eddie’s Attic, and New York’s Wetlands.
“SGG makes you feel good.”
SGG feature clever song writing, freshness, warmth, energy & wit. Hundreds of college performances led SGG to the National Association of Campus Activities Music Finalist honors. SGG also performed on the Main Stage of the 1994 Kerrville Folk Festival. In the 1990’s Michael Lille joined the group (now Speidel, Goodrich, Goggin & Lille, or SGGL) adding vocals and guitar. Jospé has been working with the group since 2007.
Bobby Read and Igniter
Bobby Read; bandleader, producer, composer and saxophonist with the Bruce Hornsby Band, leads several bands and this new local “supergroup” plays original and cover jazz/rock with some reggae and soul covers mixed in.
“I love to play different styles of music and to be in bands with great musicians” – Robert Jospé
“It’s the honesty you apply to your playing that makes music enjoyable. The style of the music has little to do with it. It’s only honesty that makes it beautiful.” – Elvin Jones
